Lookfantastic
LOOKFANTASTIC built their own branded game to host on their eCommerce site. This led to increased time spent on the site and ultimately increased sales (+180% vs goal).
Brand Background
LOOKFANTASTIC are Europe’s number one online premium beauty retailer, carrying over 22,000 products with complimentary worldwide shipping to over 200 countries. They are the online partner of choice for leading brands including MAC, Kérastase and Yves Saint Laurent.
Challenge
LOOKFANTASTIC are always looking to use experience, technology and innovation to create brilliant customer experiences and engage customers on their eCommerce site. This is because there is clear research to show that time spent on eCommerce sites is directly correlated to the likelihood of making a purchase and future loyalty.
Solution
LOOKFANTASTIC chose to build their own Flarie branded game and integrated it onto their eCommerce site. The game was based on the popular “Flappy Birds” hyper-casual game (a historically strong hit with the LOOKFANTASTIC target audience). As online cosmetic shoppers are especially sensitive to a good deal, the game rewarded players for the points they achieved with discount codes to use at the checkout.
Results
The games delivered an average play time per session of 3.8 minutes, and also increased time spent on the LOOKFANTASTIC eCommerce site overall.
More importantly, this led to an increase in sales, +180% versus goal (based upon results from other solutions). Beautiful!
