Challenge
The Challenge feature lets you reward players for reaching a target score. A challenge can contain one or multiple rewards, allowing you to distribute different prizes within the same challenge.
When you add Challenge to your game, a default reward is automatically created. Every challenge must contain at least one reward.

Configure the challenge
Start by configuring the challenge itself.
Set the following:
-
Target Score – The score players must reach to complete the challenge.
-
Challenge Text – The message shown to players when the challenge is active. The text can be fully customised and styled.
-
No Reward Available Text – The message shown if a player completes the challenge but no rewards are available to distribute.
Configure a reward
Each reward is managed as a child setting under the Challenge.
When a challenge is created, Reward 1 is added automatically. This is the default reward and cannot be removed while it is the only reward in the challenge.
For each reward, configure:
- Reward Type – Select the reward players can receive.
- Reward Limit – Optionally limit how many times the reward can be distributed.
- Reward Distribution – Choose whether the reward is presented immediately after the game or delivered by email.
- Reward Popup – Customize the popup shown when the reward is awarded.
The default reward does not support a win probability since it acts as the fallback reward.
Reward Types
Coupon code – same for everyoneAll players who complete the challenge receive the same coupon code.
Coupon code – unique for everyoneEach player receives a unique code. Upload enough codes for the number of players who may complete the challenge.
URL – same for everyonePlayers receive a button linking to a specific website.
URL – unique for everyoneEach player receives a unique URL. Upload enough URLs for the expected number of players.
Form – ask users for dataInstead of a reward popup, players are shown a form after completing the challenge. The submitted data is stored in the User Base. This is commonly used to collect information such as name or email. You can create additional form parameters in Assets & Settings - Form Parameters
URL in buttonTurns the reward text into a clickable link instead of showing a popup.
No instant rewardNo reward message is shown after the game.
Tip
For unique codes and URL's you are able to select batch upload. This will automatically allocate the unique codes or URLs throughout all time periods, meaning that you don't have to upload a certain amount of codes each time period; the game will do that automatically.
Reward Popup Types

You can choose how the reward popup appears after a player completes the challenge.
Show rewardDisplays a styled popup with optional image, title, and reward content.
Hide rewardDisplays a minimal popup with customizable text.
NoneNo popup is shown. The reward is still processed and recorded.
Add multiple rewards
To distribute multiple rewards from the same challenge, select Add Reward to Challenge. Each additional reward is added as its own child setting beneath the challenge.
Unlike the default reward, additional rewards allow you to configure a Chance to Win (%), letting you control the probability of players receiving each reward. This makes it possible to offer multiple prizes within a single challenge while controlling how often each reward is awarded.
Luck Based Wins vs. Challenge
Although both features can distribute rewards, they work differently.
- Challenge rewards players for reaching a target score. Completing the challenge always triggers a reward, provided one is available.
- Luck Based Wins uses probability. Even if a player meets the score requirement (or if no score requirement is set), they are only awarded a reward if one of the configured win chances is triggered. Otherwise, the player sees the No Win popup.
Example
A challenge requires players to reach 1,000 points.
-
Reward 1 (default): 10% Discount Code
-
Reward 2: Free Shipping Coupon – 30% chance to win
-
Reward 3: Gift Card – 5% chance to win
When a player completes the challenge, Studio determines which reward to distribute based on the configured reward chances. If none of the additional rewards are awarded, the player receives the default reward. And if all rewards have been distributed, the "No Reward Available Fallback" will trigger to tell the player that all rewards have been distributed.
Manage challenge winners
The Manage Winners section shows all players who completed the challenge and their scores. You can use this data to review performance and track participants.
